How to Tear a Phone Book in Half
Here's your chance to express your warm feelings
about the phone company.
1)
Hold the phone book against your torso like this. Notice how the page
edges are not even, but staggered.
2)
Make a one inch tear right down the middle of the book. This is not as
difficult as it sounds because, due to the staggered paper edges,
you're not ripping all the pages at the same time.
3)
Turn the book over and repeat this action. You'll wind up with one tear
about 2 inches long.
4)
Now hold the book very close to the tear. Move your right hand down
and to the left, and move your left hand up and to
the right. Then reverse directions. Going back and forth like
this you'll eventually rip the phone book in half - sometime this
fiscal year.
